Mock Meet I June 2nd 2026
Greetings Parents,
On Tuesday we will host our Mock Meet, an intrasquad meet to prepare our team for the season and for our swimmers to establish seed times in their events. All relevant information about the meet can be found on the MEET DOC. I will send one of these for each meet throughout the season. It's a good starting point for finding what you need in one place. We have a few changes to make, but the heat sheets will be published as soon as we can. If you are a new parent to our team, be sure to check out our SWIM MEET 101 for info about how meets work in general. Also, if you have not - download the Swimtopia App for heats sheets, live updates, etc.
Arrival Time, Team Shirts, Team Photo
Arrival time is 4:45pm Tuesday afternoon, however please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early and plan extra time for parking. The pool closes to the neighborhood at 4:00PM. Check your swimmer in on the deck with the coaches and get team shirts, pre-paid/ordered merch from our team store, pre-paid Snack Shack cards and swim caps. Swimmers will then be directed to organize by age groups to prepare for the team photo. We will take our team photo on the pool deck this year. Swimmers will wear their team shirt over their team suit for the photo. No hats, caps, sunglasses, goggles etc. No marker or team colors on faces until after the photo is taken. There is still time to hop over to Kiefer Aquatics in Cary for your team suit - otherwise have your swimmer in a black suit. Swimmers will then proceed back to the deck where warm-ups are scheduled to begin at 5:30pm. There will be a timers and officials meeting at 5:40pm behind the fence by the tennis courts; if your assigned job is a TIMER plan to participate in the meeting. We would love everyone to be prompt so we can get a prompt 6pm start to the meet.
Black vs. Blue
This is an intrasquad meet and we will divide our team into a Black Squad and a Blue Squad. Rosters will be shared soon - have fun with it!
Volunteering
Parent volunteer jobs will be posted by Monday night on Swimtopia. Plan to have one adult from your family be available to volunteer for the entire meet. You may switch out with another adult in your family. Be open to helping out and moving where needed. Have fun and keep a positive attitude. I promise these meets are always a better time working with our neighbors and meeting new people.
GO WAHOOS!
